My journey into natural medicine started with an appreciation for Nature. I spent as much time outside as I could while growing up and was lucky enough to live in the mountains where I could wander and discover on my own. As I grew older, I knew I wanted to help people, so I began all of the prerequisites for regular medical school and started on that path. Around the same time, my interest in yoga was blossoming and a divide occurred where the way I treated my own body differed greatly from what I would be asked to do in medical school. I questioned whether or not conventional medicine could bring people closer to Nature which, to me, meant being closer to good health. After sitting in on a class at NCNM, the National College of Natural Medicine, I knew my answer.
By studying Naturopathic and Chinese medicine over the last decade, I am able to help you untangle complex health issues. I try to listen with compassion create a unique and individualized treatment plan for every patient. Visits are a chance to relate your story and to laugh! When necessary, I am also there to advocate for you and make appropriate referrals, keeping your best interests at heart.
Professional interests include reproductive healthcare, fertility, gastroenterology, endocrinology, five element acupuncture, homeopathy, and pain management. Treatment may include acupuncture, herbs, movement exercises, vitamins and minerals, and good nutrition.

Hi Dr. Green,
I had the pleasure of seeing you this past July about some allergy/immune issues. Although I haven’t been able to implement all of your recommendations as of yet, I soon was relieved from many of my symptoms with the help of extra vitamins (+ I’ve been eating more cilantro, flax, and pumkin!), extra sleep, and skin brushing.
Unfortunately, my sinus pressure is back again… the transition into winter has often been marked by these troubles for me. I think it is a reaction to either dust or mold. I am trying to remember to do the netti pot more and reminding myself to take deep breaths (and drink of lots of water) throughout the day.
Thanks again for the individual plan you developed for me. I’ve just learned how to do the RSS feed thing… so I look forward to your next post.
Sincerely,
Emily
